Honeycrisp Apples & Christmas

We are getting ready to send out all those gift boxes of apples. We have discounted our expedited shipping 40-50% to help those that have waited. Its going to get cold here in the frozen tundra of Upstate New York.

You still have time to send apples to someone you know serving our Country no matter where they are in the World. Call their parents or someone and get that APO/FPO address and send them some apples. (Check with your Pastor they usually have a list) We pay the shipping through "Operation Apple". Just pick APO shipping at check out when ordering and sending to any, any, Military address. We salute our Troops and say "Thank You for serving your Country for us! Just wish you could all be home for the Holidays.

Well its back to getting those gifts ready for the special PA Sleigh we have leaving tomorrow at noon time. Trying to help Santa when we can.

As always I am "Better Than I Deserve" and hope your having a great Holiday Season! Look, Listen and Learn, Family is the most important asset we have.

All I Want For Christmas From Florida!

12/18/06

I have hesitated posting as I want our Military "Operation Apple" people "The Troops" to be at the top where they belong. But then I realized yesterday after a phone call that I need to make a new post for our Troops. The reason they are 1/2 way around the World standing in harms way.

A year ago I got a call on a Sunday from a Dad in Florida and he asked if I could get a case of Honeycrisp apples sent to Florida by Christmas. Then yesterday I got the same call from that same Dad basically asking the same question again. Most likely I will tell the story for another year just like I have for the last. So like Jack and so many of you I am a Dad too. Three wonderful children Aarika 26, Paul II 24 and Brittany is 19. If they wanted apples for Christmas I would probably buy them for them too. But Lindsey from Florida, Jacks daughter, is twelve (12), so yes last year she was 11 and all she wanted for Christmas was a 40lb case of Honeycrisp apples! My kids are all practically grown and I could only wish for the Christmas that they asked for apples for Christmas. Tonight I say hi to Lindsey, my favorite 12 year old in Florida, who I have never even met. Also, hi to her great dad Jack who like many of us only want to make sure their kids are happy on a special day.

So while Lindsey doesn't even know it, the next package of apples we send to a Military person in Iraq is going to be from Lindsey. Lindsey while not even knowing it represents every 12 year old in America who like my Children are protected by wonderful hero's around the World. Our Service people. So while I didn't want to do a new post because I wanted our service people on top with "Operation Apple", our Service people are always on top protecting our freedom around the World.

Merry Christmas Lindsey, your Mom and Dad Love You!

Honeycrisp Apples for The Holidays

Wow hard to believe only a maximum of 10 shipping days left before Christmas. It has been another great fall and now winter. You still have plenty of time to order that gift box for a neighbor or treat yourself. Many people have taken advantage of our great supply of Northern Spy apples, to have the pie just like Grandma used to make. Honeycrisp still is the leader of the "new" apple generation!

Has been a long day preparing for the week. Tis the season I reflect much on just how lucky we are and how much we appreciate those around us.

"Operation Apple", Let us not forget our Troops serving around the World. Each week we send out free apples to surprise Troops in theatre at no charge. If you have a loved one, friend, serving oversees or even stateside take advantage of sending them apples and selecting free shipping at checkout. It is our and our friends who contribute to "Operation Apple" very small way of saying thank you to those who offer to sacrifice the most.

Ok its off for a little Santa sleep to get ready for a big sleigh day tomorrow.
